When shopping for ladies tops, do you prefer heading to a clothing store or the Internet? Both have advantages and disadvantages, but one makes finding great prices an everyday event—the online store.
In brick-and-mortar stores, you have the advantage of real lighting and the ability to try clothes on before buying them. Online, you have the advantage of searching different stores for styles, colours and designs from multiple stores without wear and tear on your car or your fuel budget.
Sales advantages are fairly uniform: In-store, unadvertised specials are great surprises, but not every store has them when convenient. Low-cost clothing items are easily found online.
When you purchase something in a store, that retailer often provides a return policy if the item isn’t right after all. However, most in-store return policies are extremely restrictive, greatly limiting the time frame allowed, condition of wear and condition of sale. Don’t take a sales person’s word that the item qualifies for return: Get full details of any and all qualifications and prohibitions before you buy.
Some online retailers also invoke restrictions. Clearance items, for example, often do not qualify for returns. Return shipping is often the buyer’s responsibility as well. Special bulk purchases by the retailer are rarely covered under a return policy.
Know before you buy what options you have available if the clothing item you buy in good faith isn’t quite what you wanted when you have it in hand.
